Human Mobilized Peripheral Blood
Mobilized peripheral blood is the predominant source of stem and progenitor cells (CD34+ and CD133+) for research applications examining transplantation, regenerative medicine, and cell-based therapies. Mobilized peripheral blood is the blood circulating throughout the body that has been treated with a mobilizing agent. The term “mobilization” refers to the recruitment of stem and progenitor cells from the bone marrow into the blood stream where they can be collected via leukapheresis.
